We have an immediate need for an experienced Level II Ultrasonic (UT) Inspector with proven experience inspecting composite materials for a contract opportunity in Alabama.
Responsibilities
1. Perform Ultrasonic Testing (UT) on composite materials and bonded structures
2. Set up and calibrate UT equipment in accordance with written procedures
3. Conduct inspections using straight beam, angle beam, or phased array techniques (if applicable)
4. Identify and evaluate discontinuities including delaminations, disbonds, voids, and impact damage
5. Accurately document inspection results and complete required reports
6. Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
7. Work closely with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams
Requirements
1. Current Level II UT certification in accordance with ASNT SNT-TC-1A, NAS-410, or employer-based written practice
2. Demonstrated experience performing UT inspections on composite materials
3. Ability to provide documented classroom training hours and OJT hours
4. Experience with aerospace or advanced composite manufacturing environments preferred
5. Strong understanding of ultrasonic theory and composite inspection techniques
6. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
7. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Preferred Experience
1. Phased Array UT experience
2. Immersion UT experience
3. Aerospace industry background
ITAR Requirement: U.S. Citizenship required
