Location: Mentor, OH (Northeast Ohio – Lake County, near Cleveland)
Shift: 2nd Shift | 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM | Monday–Friday
Status: Hourly
Reports To: Dept. 690 Supervisor
Join Our Team as an X-Ray Level II (RT Level II) Technician
We are actively seeking a skilled NDT Tech – X-Ray Level II to join our growing team in Mentor, Ohio. If you are a certified Radiographic Testing (RT) Level II professional with experience in a manufacturing environment and a strong commitment to quality and safety, we want to hear from you.

Position Summary
The X-Ray Level II Technician is responsible for testing parts for defects and deviations from specifications using radiographic equipment, precision measuring instruments, and complex test systems. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to meet production and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform radiographic testing (RT) in accordance with applicable specifications and procedures
Interpret radiographs and evaluate film to detect discontinuities and identify defects
Process parts per required specifications and routing cards
Conduct system capability checks
Operate radiation equipment safely and effectively
Handle hazardous materials in compliance with MSDS and company policies
Move and manage X-ray inventory
Stock new film and properly box/store exposed film
Record daily work performed and accurately distribute work time using operational codes
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and radiation safety standards
Support additional duties as assigned by Supervisor and/or Level III
Required Qualifications
Level II Radiographic Testing Certification (SNT-TC-1A, NAS 410, or equivalent)
Minimum 1 year experience as an operator in a manufacturing environment
Ability to pass a visual acuity exam
Knowledge of radiographic techniques, exposure methods, and film interpretation
Familiarity with source books and technical manuals
Experience handling hazardous materials
Strong documentation and inspection recordkeeping skills
Casting, aerospace, or foundry inspection experience is a plus.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred (experience may substitute)
