National Inspection & Consultants (NIC) is seeking an experienced FAA Chief Inspector to provide regulatory oversight and quality leadership for our Fort Myers, FL Repair Station and Field Services operations.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for FAA compliance, airworthiness determinations, and overall quality performance under NIC’s Air Agency Certificate and Operations Specifications. Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, the Chief Inspector serves as a key member of the management team and primary FAA liaison.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES

• Supervise and perform NDT of U.S. civil aviation articles in accordance with FAA-approved/accepted technical data
• Oversee compliance with 14 CFR Parts 21, 39, 43, 65, 91, and 145
• Return airworthy articles to service under repair station authority
• Perform and oversee receiving inspections
• Coordinate NDT and inspection activities with MRO customers
• Ensure compliance when work is performed away from the repair station
• Maintain repair station roster
• Maintain quality standards of facilities, tooling, equipment, and materials
• Train and develop inspection personnel
• Support Element Quality Management System (QMS)
• Maintain and develop relationships with aerospace primes and customers
• Drive process improvements and First Time Right initiatives

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Certified NDT Inspector in accordance with AIA-NAS-410
• Certified Repairman under 14 CFR Part 65
• Thorough knowledge of FAA Repair Station operations and regulatory requirements
• Strong working knowledge of 14 CFR Parts 21, 39, 43, 65, 91, and 145
• Proficient in NDT methods, inspection techniques, and visual inspection aids
• Familiarity with tooling, equipment, materials documentation, and repair station standards
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Strong leadership and customer coordination skills
