Skills:
The Level II NDE Technician is responsible for, but not limited to, the following responsibilities:
*Perform Level II radiographic inspections to inspect materials, components, and structures for defects or irregularities.
*Set up and operate radiographic equipment in accordance with safety regulations and industry standards, while producing quality radiographs.
*Calculate, establish, and control radiation area.
*Adhere to quality control procedures and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
*Interpret radiographic images to identify and evaluate interactions of flaws and abnormalities.
*Document test results, including writing reports and maintaining accurate records of inspections.
*Collaborate with management to assure that testing procedures are meeting project requirements.
*Manage long term projects effectively and professionally by communicating with customer/client representatives and management to effectively meet established deadlines.
*Participate in training programs to stay current on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in radiographic testing.
*Responsible for guidance and on-the-job training of trainees and assistants in accordance with applicable codes, regulations, procedures, and the company's written practice.
*Perform additional NDE service methods like MT, PT and UTT.
Must be able and willing to travel in the event support is needed in other regions.
