Peak NDT Services LLC is seeking an experienced API 510 / API 570 Inspector to support inspection activities for industrial, pipeline, fabrication, and energy-sector clients.
Position Overview
The API 510 / API 570 Inspector will perform inspections and evaluations of pressure vessels, piping systems, and associated equipment in accordance with applicable API standards, ASME codes, client specifications, and regulatory requirements. This position requires strong attention to detail, sound technical judgment, and the ability to accurately document inspection findings.
Responsibilities
Perform API 510 pressure vessel and/or API 570 piping inspections.
Conduct visual inspections and evaluate equipment condition, including corrosion, erosion, damage, and other degradation mechanisms.
Review inspection histories, drawings, specifications, previous reports, and applicable documentation.
Perform or oversee thickness measurements and other NDE activities as required.
Evaluate inspection results and identify conditions requiring further examination, repair, or follow-up.
Prepare clear and accurate inspection reports and documentation.
Verify compliance with applicable API, ASME, client, and project requirements.
Communicate inspection findings.
Maintain accurate inspection records.
Travel to customer facilities and job sites as required.
Qualifications
Current API 510 and/or API 570 certification required.
Previous experience performing pressure vessel and/or piping inspections.
Working knowledge of applicable API and ASME codes and standards.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, inspection reports, and equipment documentation.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and make sound technical judgments within the requirements of applicable codes and standards.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to work safely in industrial and field environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Both API 510 and API 570 certifications.
Experience in oil & gas, pipeline, petrochemical, refinery, power generation, or industrial facilities.
NDT experience or familiarity.
Experience with corrosion monitoring, thickness data, inspection planning, or mechanical integrity programs.
