GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for all x-ray operations. Focus on and achieve customer expectations through managing an effective team oriented work force in the NDT department.

MAJOR DUTIES:
·Provide a safe, clean, and productive work environment
·Assure all personnel are appropriately trained regarding safety, quality, delivery and cost.
·Assure necessary work instructions are available and used by all production operators.
·Maintain appropriate performance feedback for personnel.
·Determine staffing/manpower utilization for the team.
·Determine the effect of changes in production volume or learning curves on staffing & equip. & adjust as necessary.
·Schedule and utilize overtime effectively.
·Determine changes/additions required for Tooling and Fixturing.
·Maintain close communication with P&IC to maintain schedule & throughput requirements
·Insure product quality meets specifications.
·Develop and maintain budgets for labor, supplies, and direct materials.
·Develop and maintain an environment that supports continuous improvement.

SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY
·Supervise all NDT Operations

JOB CONDITIONS
·Occasional travel as needed.
·Evening meetings and on-call as needed.
·Must be able to offer proof of US Citizenship or of Permanent Resident Alien upon hire.

NECESSARY EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
·Five years manufacturing experience or equivalent education.
·Experience in Aerospace quality systems.
·Experience applying process improvement techniques in manufacturing.
·Proven leadership skills.
·Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
·Proficient with MS Office software, specifically Excel and Word.
·NDT Level II certification preferred.
·Ability to perform multiple tasks while managing on-floor operations.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, CERTIFICATIONS
·4 year degree in business, engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.
