Innovative Technologies Support Wide Range of Highly Sophisticated NDT Applications.

PerkinElmer, Inc., a global leader focused on improving the health and safety of people and the environment, today announced that it will launch three new Digital Detector Arrays (DDAs). These products, which are integral components of X-ray systems for advanced industrial imaging, will be displayed at the 19th World Conference on Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).

Dexela® 2315NDT: a high speed, low noise detector with a 75 µm pixel size that employs large-area CMOS image sensor technology. Its large Field of View (FOV) enables geometric magnification. Key applications of this detector include: electronics inspection, casting and weld/pipeline inspection, metrology, industrial cone beam computed tomography (CT), materials science, and quality control for automotive, aerospace and electronics manufacturing.

XRD 4343CT (in development, evaluation units currently available): based on the next generation platform of PerkinElmer’s Amorphous Silicon (a-Si) technology, supports a full 43 cm × 43 cm FOV, has a 150 µm pixel size and fast frame rate. Its applications include low-dose NDT, 3D cone beam CT, metrology and scientific research.

XRD 3025 (in development, evaluation units to be available in Q3): provides high resolution with 100 µm pixel size and supports a broad range of X-ray energies across real time and static imaging. In addition to industrial NDT, its applications include 3D cone beam CT, metrology and life science and physical science research.

WHEN: June 13-17, 2016

WHERE: Hall 14 Booth # S17, Internationales Congress Center München, Munich, Germany

"This international gathering of leading service providers, equipment developers and research institutes is the ideal forum for PerkinElmer to introduce our next generation of X-ray imaging technologies for NDT professionals," said Brian Giambattista, President, Medical Imaging for PerkinElmer. "Our customers can easily integrate our detectors into their systems for superior image quality across a broad range of complex NDT applications."

PerkinElmer has deployed more than 40,000 X-ray detectors as X-ray system components for industrial, medical, dental and veterinary testing. The Company brings over 20 years of experience in digital imaging and collaborates with customers to integrate flat panel components for X-ray applications such as NDT, digital radiography and fluoroscopy.
