Workpad LLC Announces Services to Implement Robotics Cloud Platform
Workpad LLC has announced the availability of systems and software development services based on RoboMaker. RoboMaker is the newly released Amazon AWS cloud service designed to facilitate the command and control of robotic devices including autonomous and remotely-operated robotic inspection devices. RoboMaker can be implemented for inspection crawlers and autonomous devices including drones, submersibles, and vehicles.
Workpad, formed in 2016, specializes in cloud solutions for the inspection industry. Offering an integrated cloud platform for connected devices, the company has expanded into offering cloud development services based on the Amazon AWS infrastructure for the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).
David Bongiovanni, CEO of Workpad, said "the fantastic tools available on the AWS platform make building integrated command, control, and intelligence into low-volume manufactured products easier than ever. What used to be major projects beyond the scope of most NDT manufacturers can now be completed in a matter of weeks with state-of-the-art security, performance, and functionality. Workpad is at the forefront of helping customers in the NDT industry tightly integrate these functions and features."
AWS RoboMaker provides the tools to make building intelligent robotics applications and services more accessible, a fully managed simulation service for quick and easy testing, and a deployment service for lifecycle management. AWS RoboMaker removes the heavy lifting from each step of robotics development so companies can focus on creating innovative robotics applications.
