WINNIPEG, MB - March 6, 2026: FIBERSCOPE is glad to offer the SOLO PRO+ ExZ1 explosion-proof pipe inspection camera with now available pan & tilt camera head — enabling full circumferential pipe wall inspection from a push camera system. Certified to ATEX Zone 1, IECEx, and UL Class I Division 1, the SOLO PRO+ ExZ1 operates safely in potentially explosive atmospheres where no conventional camera may be used.
No Crawler Needed — Pan & Tilt Does the Job
Until now, inspecting the full circumference of a pipe wall in a classified hazardous zone required a steerable robotic crawler — heavier, more complex, and significantly more expensive to deploy. The pan & tilt head on the SOLO PRO+ ExZ1 changes that. Operators can now rotate and angle the explosion-proof camera head directly from the push rod system, covering lateral defects, branch connections, and the full pipe wall without additional equipment.

System Overview
Pan & Tilt Camera Head: Nitrogen-pressurizable, waterproof to 1 bar, ATEX Zone 1 / IECEx certified. Replaces the need for a motorized crawler in most lateral inspection scenarios. Optional precision sensors for distance, diameter, and defect measurement.
CCU210-ExZ1 Control Unit: Equipped with a dedicated ATEX Override Key that instantly cuts power upon any safety anomaly — a hard fail-safe required for Zone 1 operation.
Steel-Frame Cable Reel: Sealed push rods up to 100 m (330 ft). Inspects pipes from 2 inches in diameter. Built for repeated field deployment in harsh conditions.
