July 2008 – Present Vale Inco Limited.
POSITION – Maintenance Specialist/ NDT Technician
While working at the Vale Inco nickel mine some of my responsibilities were to perform various inspection methods at Surface facilities such as the Smelter, Utilities and Refinery and also to provide inspections for the underground mine. Some of the inspections performed were Thickness testing of pipes, Magnetic Particle and Ultrasonic inspections on various types of man lifts and bolters and wide variety of other inspections in which I am to perform.. I was also responsible for the administrative duties such as reports and data entry for any of the inspections in which I had completed.

November 2007 –June 2008 Argus Machine Co.
POSITION – QA Inspector

While working at Argus Machine Co. my responsibilities consist of inspecting products such as piping and couplings to dimensions as specified in the work orders, or drawings. I was also to perform doing audits of different processes on these products.

POSITION – NDT Technician

While working at Bucyrus Canada my responsibilities were to inspect dragline and mining shovel parts either while being assembled of while in full operation. I was responsible for conducting Hardness tests, Magnetic Particle I inspection, Liquid Penentrant inspection as well as Ultrasonic inspection. Some of the parts that I would inspect consist of Crowd Gear Cases, Propel Gear Cases, Saddle Blocks, Shovel Buckets, Gearing, Track Pins as well as Rail Segments.

POSITION – QC Inspector/ Quality Assurance

During my time at Academy most of my efforts were dedicated to the Quality Control of the certifying documentation of manufactured or customer supplied parts which meet licensed API Specifications 6A, 16A & 16C. Some of my other task were to ensure that the third party NDE crews were booked as per API requirements, also to supervise and lead the Shipping & Receiving Staff as well as fellow Quality Control Staff. I was also able to do some in-house tests and inspections such as: LPI, MPI, Hardness Tests and Verifying Dimensionals.

When I was employed at Acuren/ Canspec I was able to dedicate my efforts to the NDT environment. Which allowed me to use some of my skill and knowledge from CINDE as well as exposed me to new methods of Non-destructive examination and practices. Some of the methods I was able to practice were MT, PT and UT.

This position allowed me to familiarize myself codes/standards such as BVPC, ASTM, ASNT, ASME, SNT, MILITARY, SAE. Most of the stated codes/standards are practiced in the common everyday application of most non-destructive or destructive testing procedures unless otherwise stated. Some of my other duties as a librarian were to:
Ø Organize and track all contents of the library using the Dewey-decimal system.
Ø Order and update all practicing codes/standards
Ø Ensure memberships of Engineers were renewed on a yearly basis
Ø Code and enter accounts payable invoices (average of min. 150 inv/day) using MAS200.
Ø Organize and prioritize daily tasks as this was an unsupervised position

POSITION – Project Services Representative

As a Project Service Representative I was responsible for a large variety of things. Some of my responsibilities were:
Ø Processing Accounts Payable in TAAC and JD Edwards within the day of receipt
(minimum of 50 invoices a day).
Ø Processing Accounts Receivable in JD Edwards.
Ø Month End accruals and reconciliation.
Ø Payroll for a team of 37 people from a remote location weekly, and 15 People bi-weekly.

As a Administrative Assistant I was to provide clerical assistance for various departments. Some of my responsibilities included:
Ø Production of formal reports in both word and excel environments.
Ø Entry for employee cost codes and hours into a Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Ø Also worked on various Macros using visual basics.

During my time at Canspec I was also given the opportunity to train and provide assistance in the Chemical Laboratory. In this position my duties were to do chemical analysis on metal and soil samples.
Ø On soils I was required to grind and prepare them for and carry out Alkalinity, Conductivity, pH, Chloride and Sulphate analysis.
Ø On metals I would prep the sample and then complete Carbon/Sulfur Analysis.
Ø My other duties included preparing metal samples for AAS Analysis and to keep the lab clean and safe.

July 2000 – November 2002 Future Shop POSITON – Senior Customer Service Representative/Shift Supervisor

In this position I was responsible for
Ø Processing returns and exchanges and to ensure that the products are relocated to the appropriate departments.
Ø I also deal with the paper work involved with this area which includes daily store reports, correction of errors and the handling of overdue corporate accounts receivable.
Ø Additionally I keep the customer service area clean and well organized
Ø Was accountable for training of junior employees as well as scheduling the coverage of breaks.
Ø When working a closing shift I am to do all of the closing paper work for customer service, which includes counting tills, balancing store sales and reconciliation.
