EXPERIENCE

Nondestructive inspection Technician:
Helicopter Mine Countermeasures Squadron 15, Corpus Christi, TX
From Nov 2006 – Present Day
I perform NDT inspections as 1 of 3 technicians. While working as an aviation structural mechanic I was able to use my expertise in NDT to communicate with engineers when unprecedented circumstances came up. Deployed overseas I was the sole technician for my squadron, while assisting our 2 sister squadron HSC-26 and VRC-40.

Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Department, Lemoore, CA
From Sept 2003 – Nov 2006
I worked in a fully functioning NDT lab including X-Rays. My first position as a technician I worked on a naval base with 175 F/A 18 Hornets. First time discoveries of defects required research and validation of inspection processes. On the older version more intense procedures were needed. I was an integral part in performing a hardness test with the Ames II hardness tester on the belly of the aircraft after conductivity checks had failed.

VFA-97 Warhawks Lemoore, Ca
From Oct 1999 – June 2003
In my first Command I was a plane captain while at sea and land based. This is where I chose the direction of my Naval career. I became an Aviation Structural Mechanic in 2001.
