Experience
A committed QC/Welding/Painting Inspector absolutely conversant and comfortable with Welding Inspection/NDT/ Static Equipment/Structure / Painting Inspection and QA/QC activities in the fields of onshore or offshore structures, Pressure vessels, piping, cross country pipeline .
Capable of handling independently coded vessels, offshore and onshore structures, piping etc…
10yrs experience in Quality control inspection in welding,piping and painting.
Understands COMPANY SOP’s
Manage Inspection Team & plan inspection activities
Maintain daily records, develop weekly inspection reports (WIR) and provide QA/QC input into monthly reports
Ensure contractor QA/QC filing system is properly developed and maintained
Review, comment and approve Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) and other Quality System documents
Participate in Quality Audits in line with QMS
Identify manpower & specialist support requirements for offshore HUC phase
Develop inspection manpower plans for offshore HUC phase
Identify necessary test equipment and consumables for the offshore phase, via inspection services provider
Monitor and report progress on construction activities
Set up DAL non-compliance/deviation/observation reporting system & subsequently review, approve, issue such documents generated by the Site Inspection Team.
Provide mentoring to Company junior personnel.
Interface with engineering, construction, installation and commissioning teams, especially concerning dimensional & tie-in consolidation at physical interfaces.
Review & respond to quality queries or deviation requests via Contractor’s RFI system, in liaison with responsible site engineer, as appropriate.
Contribute quality items to Company-raised punch list for non-compliance items
Address areas of quality and personnel issues in a timely & proactive manner
Reinforce safety with Construction Management, including JSEA participation
Monitor safety performance
Assisting in managing the individual inspectors.
Conduct weekly quality meetings amongst site-team & separately with subcontractor quality representatives.
Ensure QA/QC records are properly maintained and filed, including logging of all granted deviations, dispensations & waivers
Provide specialized support for trouble-shooting &/or advising on welding, NDT & coating issues on as-needed basis.
Verify dimensional & tie-in consolidation at physical interfaces
Repair rate calculation in basis of welders , defect and cumulative monthly rate and in form of data and graphs to maintain minimum level
Audit of NDT and assessment of NDT reports
Interpretation of radiographs and review of reports.
Review of material summary and weld summary.
Maintenance of inspection records.
Review of final dossier.
Responsible with total coordination with third party inspector, client for inspection as per various stage wise inspection requirements from inspection and identification of raw materials, stage wise inspection up to final inspection and testing.

Fit up inspection for structural members, tubular etc…

Preparation and follow up of surveillance report and NCR.

Experience in monitoring welding parameters as preheat temperature, inter pass temperature, post heat temperature and time
