Dear Quality Assurance Manager or Human Resources,
I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to have an interview for a NDE position, or any other position available with your company. Over the past 13 years I have both trained in and executed the necessary NDE procedures to provide an exceptional service to prior employers. I was unfortunately laid off recently from Curtiss-Wright Controls, Inc. Engineered Systems due to downsizing. I worked as a Quality Assurance Inspector (NDT), located in Shelby, NC, from June 2008 until March 2009.1 performed Magnetic Particle Inspections (MPI) and Fluorescent Penetrant Inspections (FPI) on aircraft parts.
Prior to working at Curtiss-Wright, I worked at ATI ALL VAC in Richburg, SC from April 2004 to June 2008. There, as a NDE Technician, I performed Visual, EDDY Current, and Immersion Ultrasonic testing on raw bar stock material in the Finishing department.
Before ATI ALLVAC, I worked as a NDE Technician under Quality Assurance for Siemens Westinghouse Power Generation Rotors and Parts from June 2001 to March 2003. There, I performed MT, PT, UT, ET, X-RAY, and visual inspection on all parts, including turbines, blades, airfoils, and much more.
Prior to working at Siemens Westinghouse, I proudly served in the United States Air Force from August 1995 to May 2000 ending as aNDI Journeyman Level II. While serving my Country I gained Five years of experience in NDI disciplines providing inspections on all aircraft, engines, and other parts.
My resume, that is attached, highlights my ability to correctly and safely complete NDE inspections and related tasks. Thank you in advance for your time. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. I would appreciate the opportunity to review my qualifications in more detail.
Thank You For Your Time,
Sincerely,
Melody Dixon
