To Whom It May Concern:
For the past twenty-two (22) years I have been dedicated to the Welding field as a career. Primarily my emphasis has been in the area of quality assurance and quality control. Additionally I have taught welding on a college level and high school level. As a Certified Welding Instructor and a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), I have performed extensive inspections on high pressure piping systems, coatings, structural building components, pressure retaining items, and bridge fabrication. I have a good working knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code IX, AWS Dl .5 Bridge Welding Code and AWS Dl.1 Structural Welding Code. I also specialize in non-destructive and destructive testing.
In view of my forgoing qualifications and interest in quality assurance and quality control I am presently seeking a position as an inspector. I have enclosed my resume for your review and consideration.
I would welcome the opportunity to discuss my qualifications with you in more detail at your convenience. You may contact me at the above telephone numbers at any time. I look forward to discussing our mutual needs. Thank you for your consideration.
