Eastern Applied Research is an authorized Regional Service / Distributor / Sales Agent of the Oxford Instruments mobile OES (optical emissions), ED-XRF (energy dispersive x-ray fluorescence) and LIBS (laser induced breakdown) spectrometers. Servicing industries needing destructive (OES) and NDT (non-destructive testing) solutions for PMI (positive material identification) in quality assurance process or to meet verification requirements of RoHS (restrictions of hazardous substances) and WEEE (waste electrical and electronic equipment disposal) directives.
• Responsible for new business development of OES, XRF and LIBS spectrometer lines in the Mid-Atlantic / New England markets and participated in various trade conferences and events.
• Evaluate client application needs, provide product recommendations and negotiate final pricing / terms.
• Conduct NDT screening, equipment installation, operational and radiation safety certification training.
Accomplishments:
Initially representing just portable XRF we increased new sales revenues by over 25% in 2014. Helped expand product offerings adding OES and LIBS spectrometers growing portable sales revenues by over 40% in 2015. Developed exclusive relationship with global food company using XRF for forensic analysis application. Helped increase equipment rental program results and introduced Radiation Safety Certification training and NDT screening programs for additional revenue opportunities.
