Overview of employment history: From 1979 until 1987 I was employed as a welder on various projects. In 1988 I started my career in the NDT/QA/QC inspection industry and have been working in this field full time ever since. Between then and now I have worked for various inspection and engineering companies from Florida to Alaska. I consider myself a seasoned inspector with extensive experience. Most of the jobs that I performed were temporary to full time. The majority of these positions / assignments I did not leave or resign until completion of obligation. I am optimally looking to work with an established company in a permanent situation. To work for a company that I could be an asset to and have a rewarding future with.

10/02 to 12/02: Petrocon Engineering Inc. Griffith IN. QA Project Tank Inspector/Safety Rep. Responsibilities: Third party project inspector and safety representative for Marathon Ashland Pipeline LLC pipeline terminal. Perform QA functions overseeing all inspection, tank erectors, coatings, and environmental contractors activities of major storage tank overhaul project per company specs and API 650/653.

3/02 to Present: Kakivik Asset Management. Anchorage AK. Senior Quality Inspection Specialist/Inspection Project Lead. Responsibilities: Project Inspection Lead on the Trans Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS.) Act as customer representative for supervision and coordination of contractor activities and personnel. Inspect, coordinate, monitor, verify and witness work performed on the pipeline, Valdez terminal, pump stations, and associated assets. Both in-service and capital inspections to include; welding, fitting, tanks (Including tank floor replacements) pressure vessels, bridges, and below ground corrosion investigations all per applicable codes, company procedures and specifications. Responsibilities: Ongoing shop Quality Assurance, Quality Control inspection in Foster Wheeler shop for Florida Power & Light. Inspection of HRSG’s (Heat Recovery Steam Generator’s) high pressure super heaters, re-heater boilers. Duties included: documentation and inspection of all facets of fabrication and repairs, QC audits, NDT verification, PWHT verification etc.

1/00-5/00: Gulf Engineering Company Inc. Lawton OK. QA Inspector. Responsibilities: Instrumental in setting up Mechanical Integrity program for tire press machinery at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. Duties include: Generation of specific NDT/QC/QA, Inspection procedures tailored to tire presses and components, UT shearwave and third party contractor vendor inspection.

1/99-1/00: PetroChem Inspection Services. SE Region. Project Sales Manager/Inspection Coordinator/Mechanical Integrity Project Manager. Responsibilities: Responsible for contacting existing and potential clientele in an effort to staff personnel for capital projects in the Chemical, Refining & Petrochem sectors, including: Onstream Mechanical Integrity, Turnarounds/Shutdowns. Duties included: Survey sites for cost estimates, Draft bid proposals, conduct sales presentations to potential clients, Active in staffing existing and upcoming projects. Responsibilities: Inspection supervisor in the implementation and maintenance of Process safety management/Mechanical integrity program of Chlorine and Fluorocarbons plant equipment utilizing visual and NDT methods per API, ASME, and in-house procedures and specifications. Also functioned as a third party vendor shop inspector in the new construction of vessels and components at various facilities.

Comprehensive assessment & inspection of piping, vessels, heat exchangers, tanks and relief devices of all critical and covered systems. Inspections performed per API, ASME, and in-house specifications & procedures. Other duties included planning of shutdowns, coordination of vendor inspection personnel, vendor surveillance of contractors, inspection company vendor approvals, and estimates.

2/92-1/94: Ingalls Shipbuilding Inc. Pascagoula MS. QA Inspector. Responsibilities: Perform required QA inspection of Navy cruiser and destroyer surface ships. Primary inspections were that of pipe systems installations and coatings inspection including various craft QC; hull, sheetmetal, and joiner inspection. Duties included inspection of piping and valve installations, weld & brazing inspection, all facets of coatings inspection, structural inspection, verification of materials and NDT, witnessing of hydrostatic and test & trials, craft surveillance and auditing, generation of corrective action reports, follow up and closure, including welder qualification audits, and the compliance of approved WPS; check storage and the handling of filler materials, and maintain records and reports.

5/90-12/91: Sverdrup Technology Inc. Stennis Space Center MS. (NASA) Chief Visual Pressure Vessel/Piping Inspector. Responsibilities: Function as lead visual/CWI inspector and performed NDT, UT (shearwave & thickness) PT, MT, LT, and RT methods. Primary duties included the inspection of the pressure systems, pressure vessel re-certification and periodic inspection program in support of NASA to the space shuttle main engine ground support facilities. Conducted weld and corrosion inspection on vessels, piping, and structures. Performed as a quality control designee, this included both internal and external auditing. Generated various specific NDT procedures per ASME Sect. V, and specifications.

9/88-5/90: Coast Engineering & Manufacturing Company. Gulfport MS. QC Inspector/NDT Technician. Responsibilities: AWS, CWI, and NDT technician in UT (shearwave), PT, MT, and dimensional inspection in a major fabrication facility specializing in both commercial and government contracts including, ship container handling portainer & trainstainer cranes, causeway bridges & barges, and dam gates. Codes utilized were AWS DI.I, Military Standards, and other in-house procedures and specifications. Main duties included QC coverage in the new fabrication of these items to ensure product conformance and total quality compliance, including: auditing and generation of corrective action reports, follow up, and closure; interface with third party inspectors, complete certification packages, radiographic film interpretation, verification of materials, and welder qualification testing.

1/88-9/88: Nondestructive Technical Services Inc. Pascagoula MS. NDT Technician. Responsibilities: To perform and execute VT, UT, RT, and VT in accordance with applicable codes and specifications. Mainly in the chemical, power generation, refinery, and paper mill industries. Other duties included working as an assistant destructive lab technician assisting in charpy impact, tensile testing, and WPS.
