Experience
- UT inspection, shear wave and straight beam, of pipe,
plates, pressure vessels and welds
- Experience in finding identifying, and locating weld defects and checking repairs with shear wave
- Calibrations including: distance calibration, DAC, TCG, AWS sensitivity, and linearity’s
- Use of Olympus 600, 1000, LTC, and several thickness meters.
- Phased Array inspection of welds
-PAUT wedge delay calibration, AWS sensitivity calibration, TCG calibration.
- Use of Olympus OmniScan SX and MX2
- MT wet and dry inspection of welds, plates, air arc gouging, and repairs with a yoke
- PT inspection of welds, pipes, plates and repairs
- VT inspection of plates, pipe, pipe supports, welds, and repairs
- Taking measurements with bridge cam gauges, calipers, and mismatch gauges etc.
- Familiarity with AWS D1.1 and EN codes
- Accurate record keeping and report writing
- Drawing and reading isometric drawings
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including report writing
- Over 3300 hours of on the job training (OJT)
