I started off my NDT career here with Diamond G Inspection as a green hand, in just these last 4
months I’ve learned a lot, how to PT, MT, to x-ray different pipes from 2” to 42” pipes standard
and extra heavy, soon to be state carded, and I’m still looking to learn more and continue to rise
in this industry.

Mechanical Seal Repair 06/2016 - 01/2017

I was hired on my 19th birthday as one of the youngest in the company. Had to learn a new skill
set such as sandblasting and polishing certain types of metals. The company would receive
defective seals and after being analyzed by the engineers, we continued to breaking down the
dirty seal. After breaking it apart we threw all the broken and unusable material away. The
remaining metal was then washed in varsol, then rinsed off and air dried with an air hose. After
being washed we sandblasted the material and continued to polish what needed to be polished.
Did shipping and receiving a few times. Always showed up 30 minutes early and was always
looking to achieve more in my role in the company and progress my career.

Started off washing the finished repairs and keeping the warehouse clean. Slowly started learning
new things at the workplace such as sanding car parts, wet and dry. Then moved up to polishing
the car after sanding. Worked there until the let us go for Christmas vacation and never received
a call back. Learned a little about the mechanical side of it too.
