•Performing & maintaining compliance of boiler, pressure vessel & piping inspections for the 11 Pipe Still Crude Processing Unit.
•Performing in depth CUI inspection & analysis for CUI susceptible equipment throughout the unit.
•Developing inspection plans and execution of potentially near retirement piping &/or equipment by manipulating pcms to show all near retirement components & performing advanced NDE techniques to determine development of the assumed corrosion per pcms data & possible life expectancy in coordination with scheduled unit shutdowns.
•Coordinating with TAR groups to properly prepare for scheduled unit outages, including the required equipment in need of inspection during the outage, required cleaning plan for inspection & NDE & possible repairs to be prepared for due to previous equipment history or known issues found while in service via on line inspections.
•Working hand in hand with engineering to utilize proper inspection techniques & frequencies for piping & equipment with high internal corrosion potential.
•Reporting directly to the unit superintendent with advancements we've made since my arrival to become a more proactive inspection department & reporting lopc saves we have made as a direct result of the advancements we've made to be proactive & utilize more inspection tools the refinery has previously neglected to support in favor of less effect but less costly techniques.
