Experience
Conducting NDT inspections for approximately 7 years, I received my Level II certification from the military in 1997, and have remained current in UT, ET, RT, PT, and MT. I have been trained with Newco IRT, Boeing MAUS III & IV and Fuji CR X-Ray. Working at a RDT&E Facility, I have had the opportunity to work with over 50 different type/model of aircraft, prototypes and projects to be released to the fleet, including the prototype JSF models (X-32 & X-35C) and the Vector Thrust aircraft (X-31); test and evaluate NDT techniques that NAVAIR releases to the fleet and evaluate new NDT equipment. Project management for NDT programs during the RDT&E phase of prototype and project aircraft. Working with a local destructive and non-destructive materials lab, I am familiar with advanced composite manufacturing processes; studies for fatigue testing of older aircraft and evaluation of prototype aircraft. Working with these Level III Technicians, Metallurgists and Chemists has provided a vast knowledge base for my professional career. In addition, I have evaluated multitudes of parts and components before and after destructive testing for these studies. I have maintained a work log of my experience and currently have over 6200 hours of NDT experience combined.
