Presently, I am working as `Manager-Quality’ in TATA BlueScope Steel Ltd; Pune , one of the manufacturers of Pre-Engineered Building and its components.
My main tasks are ITP/ QAP preparation, allocation of inspection work, review and approval of inspection reports, ISO procedural work and training to inspectors. I am coordinating with other departments and handling customer complaints.
I am familiar with welding processes like SMAW, FCAW, GMAW & SAW as well as cutting processes like OFC & PAC. I am also familiar with destructive testing methods as well as NDT techniques like VT, LPT & RT.
SHORT TERM ASSIGNMENTS:
•Quest Inspection Services Pvt. Ltd; Pune as a second party inspector appointed at Alfa Laval (India) Ltd. Pune. (Period May 2003 to Aug.2003)
•SQA Services Inc, USA as a third party inspector appointed for Callidus Technologies LLC, USA for their one of the project in India. (Period April 2004 to Dec.2004)
•TUV India Pvt.Ltd.Pune as a third party inspector on visit basis (Period Jan. 2005 to Feb.2005)
Gulf Structural Steel, Nizwa, Oman, I was working as QA/QC Engineer in, one of the manufacturers of Structural products. My main responsibility was to implement Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001. I was the Management Representative for this company and developed Quality Manual, procedures, formats etc. I was reporting the Operations Manager.My main tasks were QAP preparation, WPS/PQR/WPQ in line with AWS D 1.1, stage wise inspection and release of product. I was also interacting with customers for QA/QC matters.
Flat Products Equipments (I) Ltd. -- I was reporting to DGM (QC). My responsibility was to operate QA dept. of a manufacturing unit where Cold Rolling Mills, Process Line equipments were being manufactured and exported. My major work was allocation of inspectors for the inspection workload, verification of inspection reports, vendor evaluation, preparation of QAP, training to inspectors & welders, development of WPS, PQR, and WPQ as per AWS D 1.1/ ASME Section IX.
Dynamic Furnaces Pvt. Ltd. -- I was reporting to MD. My responsibility was to look after entire operations of the works. I was accountable for various functions like Engg, PPC, Materials and QA/QC. At works various types of the Furnaces, Drying ovens and Kilns were manufactured. I have completed supervision of erection of a `Rotary Dryer’ at Wantotik Clay Products, Sandakan, Sabah, Malaysia.
Vijayjyot Engineers Pvt.Ltd. -- I was in-charge of their works where Non-IBR Steam Boilers, Thermic Fluid Heaters, Hot Water Generators and Turn key Projects were being executed. I was reporting to the Director.
Three M Boilers Pvt.Ltd. -- I was working in their IBR Boiler Division where Coil type/Shell type IBR Boilers, Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers of CS/SS construction were being manufactured as IBR 1950/ ASME Section VIII Div.1 and ISO R-831. My involvement was planning, execution and Quality Control. I was co-coordinating with IBR office and also coordinating with third party inspection agencies like SGS, LRIS and IQS.
Skansen Engg. (Group Co. of Alfa Laval India Ltd.), I was working in their Aerotiller manufacturing division .My work involvement was shop floor supervision, Quality Control and trials at sites. We were initially working with collaborator’s representative for prototype product development and thereafter manufactured the Aerotiller indigenously.
Sumac International Ltd. -- I was working in Projects Execution Group and concerned with execution of Boilers and related equipments for different Sugar Plants. I used to visit suppliers works (i.e.Cethar Vessels Ltd.Trichy / BHEL, Trichy / Texmaco, Calcutta) for inspection and expediting purpose and various sites for monitoring the progress.
Lipi Boilers Pvt.Ltd. -- I was initially working in production dept. where IBR Boiler Pressure Parts (Steam Durm/Water Drum/Headers/Economisers/Super Heaters) were manufactured as per IBR 1950/ISO R-831 codes. Then, I was promoted to work in PPC dept. I was responsible for material planning, shop floor execution, and simultaneously working in inspection of Pressure Parts and co-coordinating with IBR authorities. I was doing related IBR documentation.
