I also possess extensive experience working with hand and power tools such as: turret style manual mill, table saw, hand drills and drill press, all tapping and thread cutting tools, sanders, grinders, measuring devices, etc. Am experienced in all set-up and bonding operations of composite structures to meet tolerances of less than .003”.

Alliant Techsystems, Inc. – November 2001 to March 2005
Non-Destructive Testing Technician. Ultrasound level 2 in accordance with NAS 410. Responsibilities include using Krautkramer-Branson USD 52 to test graphite panels and bonded assemblies. Electronically reported any discontinuities and determined if within customer supplied requirements. Maintained valid single scope background investigation access. Radiographer level 1 in accordance with NAS 410. Utilized HECT, HERTR, and film methods to inspect rocket motors in accordance with MIL-STD-453 and customer supplied requirements. Verified HECT images on SAVS system. Also visually inspected rocket motors for any external damage and reported any discrepant conditions. Currently have approx. 1100 hours training toward Radiographer level 2.

Radius Engineering – January 1998 to October 2001
Machinist/Engineering Support Technician. Responsibilities include layout and machining of injection mold tooling and support equipment for a leading edge composites research and development company utilizing a vertical manual milling center and various hand and power tools to maintain tolerances within +/- .003”. Managed several different stages of production at once, and ordered materials required. Involved in all aspects of injection molding/composites structure manufacture. Learned the importance of patience in work and how to maintain critical tolerances. Trained on the operation of a Fadal VMC 4020 vertical machining center (CNC). Implemented and maintained forklift operation and safety training program in compliance with OSHA standards. Gained minimal experience with ARC welding.
