Whitford is the manuafacturer of the largest, most complete line of
fluoropolymer coatings. Name recognition and consequent quality
perceptions are an integral part of any marketing program; be it local or, as
Whitford's program is, worldwide.

We currently use 40 trademarks around the world. To protect the marks
described below we have registered them or have applied to register them in
over forty countries.

Consumer
Eclipse ECLIPSE®: a three-coat, internally reinforced nonstick system that
extends the wear resistance of multicoat systems by an order of magnitude.
Through an arrangement with World Kitchen, Whitford has been granted the
use of the Eclipse trade name.
Eterna ETERNA®: introduced in February 2009 as the world's long-lasting
nonstick coating. Eterna is a waterborne, multicoat system with a reinforced
basecoat and a special fluoropolymer topcoat. It is used on high-end,
gourmet and upper-moderate cookware and bakeware.
Excalibur EXCALIBUR®: a licensed, premium multicoat, nonstick cookware
coating system consisting of a stainless-steel matrix applied by arc spray as
a base coat. Three coats of a superior release system are applied over the
matrix, creating the toughest, most durable cookware coating. There are
currently more than 50 Excalibur licensees around the world with others in
negotiation. Excalibur is the premium nonstick coating for use on stainless-
steel substrates.
Fusion FUSION®: is a coating system based on sol-gel technology, a
hybrid of organic and inorganic chemistry common to ceramic engineering.
Fusion is made without PFOA and PTFE and is able to withstand high
temperatures. It is an alternative to conventional nonsticks.
Halo HALO®: contains a unique formula of special additives that
preferentially absorb heat from the stove top more quickly and distribute it
across the surface of the pot or pan more evenly.
Quantaniumtm QUANTANIUM®: reinforced with titanium and capable of
withstanding the toughest top-of-stove applications, it allows for the use of
metal cooking utensils. The titanium used is harder than the metal used in
cooking utensils. Long-term service is directly proportional to film thickness.
Quantum2 QUANTUM®2: Whitford’s internally-reinforced, multi-coat
fluoropolymer finishes. The Quantum2 primer system was awarded a US
Patent. Quantum2 is a breakthrough multi-coat system using technology that
permits the primer coat, containing polymerically bonded metallic or ceramic
filaments, to dedicate itself entirely to adhering to the substrate. The mid-
and topcoats are designed to offer the best possible release properties.
Skandia SKANDIA®: an economical line of one-coats developed for the
direct application methods of Coil and Roller coating, optimized for release.
Skandia2 SKANDIA2®: a line of durable two-coats developed for the direct
application methods of Coil and Roller coating, optimized for release.
SkandiaXtreme SKANDIAXTREME®: an advanced line of durable reinforced
coatings developed for the direct application methods of Coil and Roller
coating, optimized for release.
Ultralon ULTRALON®: purchased from ICI Americas in 1990 and generally
sold to the consumer market, these products complement many of
Whitford’s Xylan fluoropolymer coatings.
Xylac XYLAC®: Whitford’s high-temperature decorative materials. This
line of tough engineered polymer alloys is less expensive and easier to apply
than porcelain enamel. Xylac is widely used on bakeware, top-of-stove
cookware and many electric appliances.
Xylan XYLAN®: the Xylan brand is also used to describe a family of
nonstick coatings designed to suit a wide range of consumer applications
(cookware, bakeware, small electrics, etc.), offering one-, two-, and three-
coat options, with a coating option for virtually every price and performance
level.

Industrial
Dykor DYKOR®: our fluoropolymer solutions and dispersions, recently
extended to cover our various powder coatings. This series of corrosion-
resistant coatings provides exceptional barrier properties in a wide variety of
corrosive environments.
Eternitex ETERNITEX® is a family of customized finishes, treatments, and
coatings that can be applied in a variety of ways to either knit or woven
fabrics, rope/cord braids or fibers, netting, nonwovens, and other textiles to
obtain a variety of properties. EterniTex products are custom-designed for
your specific application to improve performance and/or longevity. EterniTex
products are available only from Whitford.
Resilon RESILON®: a line of waterborne coatings for use on flexible
substrates in the automotive industry. Resilon helps to reduce friction,
suppress noise, avoid sticking and protect against weathering for automotive
sealing systems, i.e., trunk/boot surrounds, rubber door seals, etc.
Xylan XYLAN® our earliest and most widely used trademark, Xylan
brands our low-friction, wear-resistant composites of fluoropolymers and
reinforcing binder resins. Xylan is found today on such products as saw
blades, fasteners, air-conditioning pistons, carburetor parts, valve seats and
stems, commercial bakeware, paper guides, bearings for jet engines, etc.
Xylar XYLAR®: Whitford’s line of inorganic coating materials capable of
operating at extremely high temperatures. Stable to 1200°F (650°C), Xylar is
frequently chosen for parts used in jet engines or high-temperature exhaust
systems. When used as a base or primer coat, these materials increase salt-
spray resistance by several orders of magnitude.

Other
Whitford WHITFORD®: is registered throughout the world either as the
word itself, or where allowed, in our own distinctive logotype style as well.
Blister Guard BLISTERGUARD® is Whitford’s trade name for a family of
finished yarns specially treated to improve the comfort of the garments into
which they are knit or woven. BlisterGuard yarns are available in various
natural and synthetic fibers as filament and spun yarns. Garments
manufactured with BlisterGuard yarns are easier to put on/remove, and
relieve chaffing and blistering where repeated rubbing occurs, as with
athletic and compression socks, sports bras, or other tight-fitting apparel.
BlisterGuard yarns are available only from Whitford.
Friction Free FRICTION FREE TECHNOLOGY® (FFT): Whitford purchased
this trademark in 2008 for use with low-friction apparel. The first use was in
athletic socks for active sports people. Whitford developed a special product
for FFT that replaced the Teflon® fiber they were using with a low-friction
"saturant" with the same coefficient of friction of the original Teflon.
Ravlex RAVLEX®: acquired with the purchase of Ravensworth, Ravlex is
the tradename used to identify a wide variety of coatings used in the surface
treatment of filtration fabrics to enhance their performance.

Alpha (and LFC) — Registered Trademarks
Alpha
Alpha Coatings and LFC (Low Friction Coatings) were purchased by Whitford
in 2006. LFC formulates low-friction coatings and Alpha applies those
coatings to rubber surfaces as well as applying adhesives to metals for later
bonding to rubber. Virtually all of Alpha’s business is related to the
automotive industry.
