Ionix offer next-generation, non-invasive, permanent ultrasonic wall thickness monitoring technology capable of providing accurate measurement over the wide temperature ranges.
Ultrasonic transducers have been designed from the ground up to operate continuously in extreme environments. Powered by Ionix’s novel piezoelectric technology, HotSense transducers produce reliable, stable and cost effective ultrasonic measurements at temperatures from -40˚C (-40˚F) and +350˚C (660˚F) and in the presence of ionizing radiation.
Applications for the devices include online high temperature thickness gauging in metal pipes or vessels. The transducers are ideal for corrosion/erosion condition monitoring. The high temperature resistant transducer requires no cooling, which allows for direct and permanent placement on a refinery. A novel clamping deployment system allows for installation under insulation.

	                Continuous measurement between -40˚C (-40˚F) and +350˚C (660˚F)
Can be directly clamped, welded or bonded for permanent installation
Precise, stable and repeatable thickness measurements
Low cost of entry - modular, simple, low cost additions and broad compatibility with industry known hardware
Excellent high temperature stability – as reported by our customers
Simple retrofit reduces implementation cost, with increased system coverage
Scalable and adaptable. Additional probes easily incorporated, or improve functionality with wired/wireless networking and automatic data loggers.
Key end-user benefits:
MINIMISING RISK & ENHANCED PRODUCTIVITY
Lower risk of unplanned outage, maximising plant availability & production rate, reducing risk of varying crude slate
REDUCED COST
Reduced operating cost. Lower installation cost
ENHANCED SAFETY
Reduced manual operation, continuous asset monitoring, minimising risk of loss of containment
INCREASED INTELLIGENCE
Optimising asset integrity management decisions such as maintenance and corrosion inhibition strategy
